Southampton and
Totton

Our first office, once a tiny room down Millbrook Road East with only four care assistants. Eight years on… we stand proud, blossoming, now our biggest office yet!!

Located on Oakley Road, a busy but fun office. With our own vegetables growing in the garden and a BBQ fit to feed all 120+ loyal members of our Southampton family, we truly do operate an open-door policy!

We have worked closely with Southampton City Council for around 8 years covering more than 1000 hours of care and look after clients in Totton, Millbrook, Lordshill, Shirley, City Centre, Woolston, Sholing, Bitterne, Weston & Thornhill.

Whether you are interested in working with us, seeking care for yourself, a friend or family member, or even a new member of the team… don’t be shy, your always welcome!

Look out for the following faces…

As well as providing a domiciliary service for Southampton City Council, we also provide a retainer service where our team of experienced care assistants act as an 'on call' taking on any client- any time-anywhere.

During this ‘2 week’ retainer period the care package is assessed by our team, allowing the council time to find a suitable care provider, reducing the waiting time for clients.

This also has an impact on hospital services where these may be reablement packages- freeing up more hospital beds for clients who really need them.

The care package is also right sized, which in return allows care companies to free up time where it may have been used unnecessarily- resulting in more clients being cared for.

Meet The Team

Carol Martin,
Care Manager & Coordinator

My previous roles in care included 20 years of experience in Palliative care, Domiciliary and Senior Carer roles.

Having left work for a while to look  after family members, the opportunity arose with Enthuse Care to get back into the sector and have since been promoted from Care Assistant to Senior Carer, Supervisor and now Care Manager.

Over those 20 years, this is the only company I have wanted to stay with, and I can honestly say that we are all like a family unit. I can talk to anyone within the company and know I am fully supported, even when it comes to learning how to turn a computer on! Your work fills a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do- and I love it here!

Alan Winn,
Care Coordinator

With experience in Care homes, Domiciliary care and in Hospital settings over a 24-year period, my role now within Enthuse Care, is to co-ordinate a retainer service of over 20 experience care assistants enabling care to be put in place within less than an hours’ notice.

I have worked in this role for over a year now and the most rewarding thought is that my team and I, are able to ensure no one is left without care when they need it. We also host the best staff parties!

My goals are to continue to grow and improve our existing excellent reputation and to branch out into other areas, hopefully in a management role, as Enthuse Care really is a good company to work for.

Lauren Medhurst,
Supervisor

I have worked with Enthuse Care for over 3 years with 5 years of care experience. I initially thought working in care would be temporary for me until I found something else but didn’t realise how much I would end up loving my role.

I can’t imagine myself ever doing anything else outside of healthcare. I have experience in both domiciliary care and within a care home. I applied for the role of Retainer care assistant when I first came to Enthuse but was offered the position of Supervisor which I was extremely happy with.

This company for me has by far been the best, mostly to do with the team I work with, it’s like being part of a big family. The support that is available at all times is excellent and I couldn’t ask for a better place to work and progress in my career.

Emma Potter,
Supervisor

I cared for my disabled daughter all her life until she was 16, then decided it was time I done something for myself.

I worked in a pub for a year until it closed down and was at a loose end, it was at that point I was referred to Enthuse Care by a close friend. Working on the retainer for a very long time, I gained lots of hand on experience and dealt with many different situations which was both challenging and rewarding. I am now office based in my supervisor role, which allows me to put my knowledge gained, into practise and hope to progress further.
